Be certain you have someone available for your delivery so the candy does not sit in the hot sun. Melted candy can not be guaranteed. The filberts (hazelnuts) are panned in copper kettles until the whole nut is encased in crystallized sugar, a time-consuming process that takes days, but one we're sure you'll find well worth the effort. Whether you prefer to let these sweet treats slowly melt in your mouth until you get to the filbert nut or simply bite right into them, you won't be able to resist them. 1lb. bag contains approx. 38 candies.

This candy arrives in our store in bulk quantities and is packed for your order when we receive the order. We package small quantities of this candy in cellophane bags that are heat-sealed. We then seal and bag again for product safety and include an ingredients label. Products are then boxed and shipped. Larger quantities are double bagged for safety and an ingredients label is included. It is then boxed and sealed for shipment. If you want candies bagged in one pound bags, you will have to tell us that as when we receive an order or five pounds, we ship it as such.

Our cream filberts are soft and fresh. If you want old hard crunchy candy, you'll have to set it out and let it age:-)

It costs the same to ship 1 pound as it does to ship 2 pounds, so order 2 pounds and share with a friend.

Shipping: We always try to ship within 24 business hours. We ship by USPS Priority Mail which is a 2 to 3 day delivery option.

We are licensed and inspected by the Lucas County Health Department and the Ohio Department of Agriculture use a licensed exterminator, so you can rest assured your product is prepared and stored in a sanitary, and well maintained facility.

I love these, reminds me of many wonderful Christmas trips shopping with my mom. We had a store that carried them and she always told me stories of when she was a little girl. Plus Boyd’s has a huge selection, fast service and always sends a personal Thank You with the order. Great store!

My daughter fell in love with "mothballs" several years ago. She was devastated when she no longer could find them. I found them on Boyd's Candy and can not wait to give them to her at Christmas. Boyd's sent me a small baggie of them marked as "Extra". I had to try them! They were just like I remembered them. Also, they were packed securely ad there was no breakage! Thank you!!!

I dearly love my childhood snowball filbert candy. My mom used to take me to Lazarus as a kid and go to the candy dept and always get the snowballs. Love that I found them at Boyd’s — very awesome customer service- being in my 70’s I appreciate so much good quality and good professionalism. Thanks so much and God Bless you guys!!!
